Volunteer at the Dominican Tree House Village
We are a big family at the treehouse and always have a great time, but our guests’ satisfaction always comes first. This is what makes our place so special, keeps people coming back, and keeps the business running so that we can continue to build and do so many cool things.
Whether they are working in a client-facing position or not, all of our volunteers are expected to be genuine, kind, and outgoing. They need to be comfortable approaching guests they don’t know, greeting them, and welcoming them into our family. We want everyone to feel at home here.

Here is what our past Volunteers have to say about us:
"My stay at the Treehouse Village was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. I learned how to create an environment of peace, love, positivity, and encouragement to do good. Alongside of all of the amazing experiences with all of the greatest people ever!"
"Volunteering at the DTHV has been a dream! How many people can say that they get to live in a treehouse, in the jungle, and work?! The people are amazing, and the entire experience has been great!"
"My time at the Dominican Tree House Village has been one of my greatest life experiences for sure wonderful 3 months living with native people and visitors from all over the world sharing stories and learning things every day in this amazing paradise. Very thankful for the opportunity to work there."
"Dominican Tree House Village was my first experience as a solo traveler and I can easily say that I couldn't have chosen a better destination. This place is paradise, words couldn't describe the beauty of this it! was treated with respect by all the staff, which I stayed in contact with ever since, considering them my friends now Highly recommend this place, it's a special one and should be on everyone's bucket list."
“I've been a volunteer at DTHV for 3 years in a row and it has always been a wonderful experience. The entire staff and volunteer crew are amazing. friendly people. The volunteer manager has always made sure that l have a project directly related to my skills, be it writing, social media, or guest relations, and I’ve always found support."
"If you're wanting a volunteer experience that is equally fun and rewarding. then DTHV is the place for you My time volunteering here and spending time in the local community of El Valle left such an impact that I’m already planning a trip back. This is an incredibly special place, you will leave feeling like you have a second family full of the most genuine and creative souls."
"Volunteering at the treehouse was by far the best experience of my life. There is no place in the world where you feel so connected to the nature, to the local community and to people from all over the world Everyone becomes your family from day one. L can't even describe the beauty of this place, the jungle, the waterfalls and of course the most beautiful beaches in Dominican Republic.”
"l'm so fortunate to have been allotted the experience to volunteer at Dominican Tree House Village resort. It's a home away from home and a place where you'll find yourself coming back too. Disconnecting and connecting in the jungle life is a journey and an opportunity for personal growth. lt's a place to be creative, share your skills and make an impact. l've had fostered friendships, connect with guests from around the world, locals from Samana and the culture."
"Being a volunteer at The Dominican Tree House Village was one of my all time favorite experiences, every day I got to experience new Incredible life changing moments, If it was bareback horse riding. local kids teaching me how to backflip, cliff jumping off a 5O' cliff, or back flipping off a waterfall! Everyday challenged me to push past my limits, to step out of my comfort zone and live every second in the present moment. l'd volunteer here over and over again, lt's truly an experience you will never forget."
"Volunteering at Dominican Tree House Village was very special for me. I was able to expand my love of yoga and wellness with people from all around the world. I enjoyed every second of the jungle, the beach, the sun, and the moon. I admire how Dominicans love is so effortless. Their culture taught me that the best medicine is a little bit of dance, laughter, and mamajuana. My colleagues turned into friends and became family. I learned so much more about myself than I wanted to and through it all I cried and laughed and cried some more. This experience will stay with me forever and I will always be coming back."
"Coming into my volunteer experience at the DTHV was scary since it was my first time traveling alone. But boy was it better then I expected. L met some of the coolest people and the locals were so friendly even with the language barrier! I also felt safe! lt's nice to have a place where you can be free and be who you are and everyone stands by your side as you grow. I rave to all my friends about EI Valle, Samana and can’t wait to go back!”
"As soon as l arrived there l knew that this is one of the most extraordinary places l've ever been to. The staff becomes your family and that comes with the full meaning of what "family" is. The most difficult part about being there is saying "goodbye" to all the amazing people who come to the Tree House and then they leave. And then eventually one day you're the one who's leaving and that's even more heartbreaking, but you leave realizing that your baggage is now full of smiles and you witnessed so much unconditional love between friends and inside the local community, that will leave you inspired for months or years ahead."
