Samaná is often referred to as the “best kept secret” of the island. It is considered one of the most beautiful and safests places of the Dominican Republic. The landscape is lush and mountainous and the region has some of the world’s most spectacular beaches. The area has relatively little tourism and remains, for the most part, pristine and undisturbed.
Unlike other all-inclusive resorts, the beaches near the Dominican Tree House Resort are refreshingly free of crowds. El Valle beach is just a bike’s ride away and it is tranquil, secluded, and breathtakingly beautiful. Most days, you might see a handful of Tree House guests and a few local fisherman. Depending on the season, we employ about 30 villagers and provide jobs indirectly to 100+ people. Our efforts promote sustainable development and ecotourism which ultimately increases the standards of living.
