The Dominican Tree House Village is like something out of a dream. The Tree House Cabins are spread across a beautiful valley that is safely tucked away in the heart of the tropical Caribbean jungle. The cabins are connected by various rope bridges and jungle paths that are all designed to emphasize and enhance an intimate connection with nature and separation from the modern world. The valley is breezy and virtually mosquito free which allows our guests to be able to comfortably enjoy the open-air design.
Get lost as you explore winding garden paths, take a dip in the pool, and get cozy by the fire. Find your perfect state of Zen as you practice yoga in our yoga studio, lounge in our hammocks and swinging chairs, and breathe in the fresh jungle air. Treat your taste buds to fresh piña coladas at the bar and delicious fresh-cooked meals each night. This little-known tropical jungle hideaway is our Neverland, and has a magical way of making you feel right at home.
Located in the heart of the Samaná Peninsula, the Dominican Tree House Village is at the center of what is considered to be one of the safest and most beautiful places in all of the Dominican Republic. Samaná is widely recognized as being “the best-kept-secret” of the island, featuring spectacular world-class beaches and lush, mountainous landscapes that have remained relatively quiet and untouched by tourism.
Our local beach is no exception and is a refreshing escape from the crowded beaches you find at typical all-inclusive resorts. A short bike-ride away, El Valle beach is a secluded and incredibly tranquil beach that you’ll most likely share only with local fisherman and a handful of other Tree House guests.
While at the Tree House, our guests have the option to schedule and participate in a wide range of activities that are designed to maximize fun, sightseeing, and adventure: horseback riding to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of the Caribbean, off-roading on ATV’s alongside beautiful marble cliffs to one of the top 10 beaches in the world, zip lining along the Caribbean’s tallest, longest and highest rated zip line, hiking and canyoneering to local waterfalls and various cascading pools, whale-watching, cave exploring, cliff jumping, spear fishing, paddle-boarding, and snorkeling.
No matter what your interest, we’ve got something for you. Check out our activities page for more info.
Dominicans are an incredibly laid back and fun-loving people in general, and no matter where you go here you’ll be greeted by friendly people and smiling faces. But here our staff is composed of some of the friendliest and best Dominicans you could ever hope to meet. Unlike typical resorts where the staff is purely there to serve you, here the staff are part of the main attraction – you meet them on their level, play games with them, and get to know their world. The result is an authentic cultural experience that will truly enrich your life.
Everyone onboard is 100% committed to making your vacation the best experience ever and you really feel that love radiate throughout the village. By the time you leave, you’ll have made lifelong friends and you’ll forever be a part of the Tree House family.
Ever since its construction in 2014 the Dominican Tree House Village has been 100% dedicated to using local materials and labor in everything we do. We directly employ roughly 30 local villagers and indirectly provide jobs to over 100 people, helping to significantly raise the standard of living throughout El Valle and promote ecotourism and sustainable development.
A stay at the Tree House Village already helps promote the kind of tourism that highlights and preserves the natural environment and culture, but we don’t stop just there. We help get guests directly involved! We’ve got all kinds of service projects lined up for those that are interested: take an hour to go to the local school and help teach kids English, learn about local farming and get your hands dirty, help paint and construct homes for those in need, bring shoes, clothes, and toys you can give out to local kids you meet.
The Dominican Republic is notorious for the kind of exploitative development where concrete high-rises are put up and locals are pushed out, and that’s the last thing we want to have happen down here in our beautiful valley. No matter how you choose to get involved we guarantee you it’ll make your vacation a truly enriching and unforgettable experience.
